The Chapel at Seaside Wedding

“No Ugly Crying.” That’s what the hankie read in blue scripted type..but with a day like this one, the only reaction that came naturally to all of the sweetness was big ugly tears. Then, as the doors opened to the Seaside Chapel, we all started crying again witnessing Josh seeing his bride walking down the aisle for the first time.

Seaside, FL Engagement

Ansley and Josh have the sweetest love, and their family and friends were a blast to be around! Their love isn’t one that can be described as hurried or rushed, but in true southern fashion, savored. These two actually met over seven years ago, thanks to Ansley’s sister Leslie. After only six weeks of dating, Ansley knew he was the one. She and Josh played “the shoe game” at their reception, and one of the questions was “Who said ‘I love you’ first?” To which we saw both the bride and groom hold up her satin heel, confirming her theory of “When you know, you know.”

These two met about 7 years ago through Ansley’s sister, Leslie and her (now husband) boyfriend at the time. Ansley told me that she definitely always had a eye out for Josh, but really thought it would just never work out. It was always just bad timing! They finally gave it a shot in 2015 and have been together ever since.

Continuing with the theme of ugly crying, Ansley said the moment she realized Josh was proposing to her- under a beautiful pavilion at twilight in Cancun, Mexico- she started to cry and couldn’t stop. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

Their wedding day may have started with soft rainstorms, but it was as if the weather knew that these two were getting ready for something beautiful, and it dried up just in time for photos and traveling to their chapel at seaside wedding ceremony. The blush and navy blue accents along with all of the personal detail put into this wedding day made it that much sweeter. I have to say that some of my favorite moments of their day came after traveling to the reception site. Seeing them enjoying their first few hours as husband and wife dancing in front of the bay as the sun set will forever be the sweetest image!

Letter to the Couple

Ansley & Josh,

You two are so blessed! Not only to have each other, but to have family and friends that love and support you through this amazing journey of marriage. I know you two are connected in the word, and have a christ-like heart for each other. I hope you’ll always remember those words you wrote to each other on this sweet day and how you felt promising your life to each other. Being a small part of that was my honor! (Also, I WILL get Bart to agree to a double date sometime. Or golf. Miss y’all already!!
