PLEASURE TO MEET YOU
Venue & Date
Amy & Brent were married on Friday, June 9 at The Grand on Foster in Dothan. The Grand in Dothan is quickly becoming a favorite venue of mine because of the dreamy ceremony space & gorgeous courtyard with its climbing greenery & brick and mortar bar. It’s classic & gorgeous!

Meet Amy & Brent

I had the chance to sit down with Amy & Brent and Eli, their son, at Panera Bread a week before the wedding. Not only did I find out that these two both love traveling, but I also learned Brent is a big Star Wars fan and Amy is basically a Disney princess in real life. (I mean, just wait until you see her in this wedding dress!) They are an Air Force family, and have lived in several places, including England! Also, they met over tacos at La Parilla in Dothan. Such a down to earth and awesome couple!

The Proposal
A & B’s proposal story is straight out of a Disney movie, with a castle and a prince charming kneeling on one knee to pledge his love to his princess! They told met that Brent surprised Amy (and the rest of her family, who were there with them!) with a proposal during a family trip to Walt Disney World..right in front of Cinderella’s Castle!

The Big Day
Things just seem to be more relaxed when you get married on a Friday, and Amy & Brent were both cool as can be getting ready for their big day. Amy, her mom, and closest friend got dressed in the bridal suite at the Grand while Brent and Eli got dressed upstairs. Seeing Brent helping Eli with his tux was the sweetest picture.

I know a wedding day is about two people joining their lives together, but it’s also about a new family beginning. Seeing this new family of three start this new adventure together was such a precious thing. From the personalized gift Brent gave Eli to the sweet Mother-Son dance Amy and her son shared at the reception, every moment was one more memory they can add to their family collection.

As for the decor of the day, the Grand was decorated in accents of gold and ivory, with greenery and roses. I loved the personal touches everywhere showing the three of them in photos. As guests entered the ceremony, they signed an antique globe, which was perfect as a guest book for Amy & Brent. You see, these two have traveled all over during their service in the Air Force, but even more than that the globe was a great reminder that no matter the distance or situation, true love can last. A pair of classic violins welcomed guests into the ceremony space, with one of the musicians being a close friend and airman of Brent’s.
Amy & Brent,
I knew when Amy & I first talked on the phone that you two were “my people.” Then I got to meet y’all in person and sweet Eli, and it was confirmed! You two are so so perfect for each other and I love how adventurous you are. I don’t want to get corny, but I sometimes view marriage as a journey. Sometimes it’s a road trip with no bathroom breaks and too many songs sung off key.. but sometimes it’s a safe place to call home, no matter where you have been. I hope y’all have a fabulous marriage and enjoy your new family! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Seton!!
