PLEASURE TO MEET YOU

Venue- Flagstone Farm

Tuscaloosa Videographer

It’s no secret that a sunset ceremony looking out over a gorgeous lake makes for the most romantic place to say I do. With that said, Weddings at Flagstone Farm in Vance, Alabama (near Tuscaloosa) are stunning! The venue has the most spectacular views, and because of those views, it was the perfect place for Mallory & Trey’s vows.

In my opinion, there’s a moment a each wedding. A small flash of sweetness that takes your breath away, and makes time seem to slow down.

For Mallory and Trey, I think all of those in attendance would agree that this moment happened as Mallory made her way down the center aisle at Flagstone Farm’s open air chapel, holding her Daddy’s arm.  Not only was she stunning in her strapless lace gown, the confidence and excitement she showed walking toward her best friend Trey radiated! Trey was absolutely speechless when he saw her, and watching the video of the two, it’s easy to see why!

Meet the Couple

Mallory & Trey

These two caring people met while in Nursing school at Troy University.  They were in the same clinical group for first semester. These two hit it off after clinicals finished they were about to go home for Thanksgiving break. Then and there they realized everything just clicked!

They dated for a little over three years before Trey proposed.

Rock City Proposal

Proposal on Lookout Mountain

These two went on New Years Eve to Rock City to see the gorgeous Christmas lights display THIS was were Trey intended to propose! Except..it was too cold, and after trying to stroll around for half an hour, they decided they had to head back to the hotel. Mallory said, “We brought warm jackets but didn’t know it would be Arctic temperatures!! Still, we got out and trey bought us tickets and attempted to go stroll around and look at the lights. It was FREEZING (we even tried staying in the gift shop trying to warm up.)”

Due to the cold weather, they planned to buy the proper attire the next morning on New Year’s Day and try again. The next day was National Championship day (and Trey is a huge Bama fan!) so they bought the proper clothes, went ice skating, went to lunch, then back to Rock City. As Mallory was gazing out over Lookout Mountain, she glanced back to see Trey on one knee, proposing. She said that “even though it did not go as he has planned at all, it was still so perfect and special!”

The Wedding Day

September 1, 2018, Flagstone Farm Wedding

Mallory and her girls started the day drinking mimosas and laughing in their matching robes at Flagtone Farm’s cottage. They got their hair and makeup done by (the super talented) Casey Troulias. Little did Mallory know, each of her best friends had written her and Trey letters, and compiled them all into a scrapbook to surprise her with. Hearing their words of love and intention, as well as well wishes for Mallory & Trey’s marriage, reminded us that no matter what, friends will always be your first love!

September is in the midst of football season, so of course Trey an his guys were glued to the TVs, watching the big games. Both Mallory and Trey were calm and so nerve-free all morning. Whatever jitters they might have had definitely disappeared as soon as they saw each other for their first look.

True to form, the Alabama heat didn’t let up. This made for a funny (and stark!) contrast to the day they got engaged. The weather didn’t matter though, as everyone had the best time dancing the night away and surrounding this sweet newlywed couple as they all sang “Sweet Caroline” before ushering them off to their honeymoon amidst sparklers and cheers outside of Flagstone’s barn doors.

Letter to the couple:

Mallory & Trey,

You are surrounded by the sweetest support group, but even more than that, you two have the best support in each other. You two smiled so big when you thought none of us were looking. Just in your own little world! And what an amazing world it is! You two are so blessed, and we can’t wait to see what amazing things happen in your marriage!

-Megan
