PLEASURE TO MEET YOU

Birmingham Alabama wedding videographer, dothan weddingDecember 16, 2017—Refined elegance, showcasing grace and pure romance. That’s how I would describe this stunning black tie affair at The Grand on Foster in Dothan. Roxi was the quintessential sophisticated bride, but without putting on any airs..she and Ryan were the picture (or in my case, video) of class and that real feel-it-in-your-toes in love. These two are drop-dead gorgeous together, & had the best day.

It all started with a text message and The Corn Dog Man—these two knew each other long before they began their relationship. In fact, Ryan was one of Roxi’s brother’s best friends. In true Wiregrass Weddings fashion, their relationship began after a date to the Peanut Festival. Seven years later, amid the cheerful festivities of Christmas, Ryan popped the question.  He gave Roxi a heart pandora charm that opened up and had a small ring inside. Roxi explained that “the hint went totally over my head. He then gave me a t-shirt that I had to hold up to read what was on it. It had the word girlfriend crossed out and the word fiancé under it. When I lowered the shirt he was kneeling behind it. I cried for like an hour!”

Their wedding day may have been a cold one temperature-wise but honestly, watching these two start their lives together brought such a warmth to everyone around them. Also, I caught Roxi bustin’ some dance moves in between photos to keep warm, which was precious.

Ryan was calm as could be, dressed in his Vera Wang tux. That is, until he saw his bride. As he put it, the wind got in his eyes a little bit. 😉 At the front of the aisle, a special seat had been reserved for Ryan’s Dad, who passed away when he was young. Roxi had a rose boutonnière and photo of Ryan & his dad placed in the open seat, to show that while he might not have been there physically, he was still there in spirit.

Listening to each of the speeches given by their family and friends, it’s easy to see that these two are well loved and respected. Watching them cut their Alabama-themed grooms cake created by Tara’s Temptations…well that made me love and respect them just a bit more! 🙂

Roxi & Ryan,

I’m so excited for y’all. There is so much GOODNESS to come in your marriage. I can tell that you are each other’s best friend, and that is the best thing for a marriage. You are so blessed!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Jacobs!!

-Megan
