If you walk down the streets of historic downtown Abbeville, AL on a crisp, fall Saturday you’ll feel like you’ve stepped out of 2018 and into the 1960’s. Couples stroll hand in hand down her sidewalks. Golden leaves float gracefully, as if they are being carried by the 50’s Motown tunes that are playing over the speakers of the shops. THEN. You see gorgeous Abby. Looking like she’s been plucked out of a 1950’s bridal catalogue, she was JUST STUNNING. And when paired with her best friend and handsome groom Parker, it makes for a pretty picture, as my southern grandmothers would say.
These two met when they were in high school. In fact, Abby told me that it all started when one of Parker’s friends urged him to text her…and the rest is wedded history. 😉
The proposal was so sweet. Abby said, “He kept telling me he wanted to try out the gopro cameras he had. He told me he wanted to capture the sunset again because we had captured one before when we first started dating, and he wanted to recreate it. He told me we would make a date out of it and we’d have a picnic (that’s what he did for me for my first birthday we were together)! Of course, we were running late and almost missed the sunset but we managed to get out to the field just in time, when he took me out there and popped down on his knee. He cried (he doesn’t like me telling that) but that just made me love him even more!”
Watching these two interact on their wedding day was like watching a classic movie on the big screen at the historic Alabama Theatre..timeless, romantic, and effortless.

You two are so blessed to have each other and I hope that any time you find yourself doubting that or taking it for granted, you’ll put on this wedding film and be reminded. It was such a JOY to be there with y’all as you start this awesome journey into marriage!!
